Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Architecture of Density #39 by Michael Wolf was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October 2011. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,481.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Wolf achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tokyo Compression Revisited, 2012 in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 47,500.00.

Die Arbeit Architecture of Density #39 von Michael Wolf wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.481,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Wolf erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tokyo Compression Revisited, 2012 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.500,00.
