Auction result well in line with expectations
The work grl rstng on swvle chr by Michael Taylor was sold in the Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Michael Taylor have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2003 the work Gulf Waters was auctioned for AUD 7,050.00 (€ 4,164.80).
