Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art, which included the work Model steam machine (self-portrait) by Michael Taylor. The price achieved of EUR 1,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Taylor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gulf Waters, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 7,050.00 (€ 4,164.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Model steam machine (self-portrait) von Michael Taylor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Taylor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gulf Waters beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 7.050,00 (€ 4.164,80) versteigert wurde.
