Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Western Art, which included the work Moon Over the Ajo Range, Arizona by Michael Stack. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,732.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Stack have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Close to Evening in the Gila Valley in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 15,300.00 (€ 12,966.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moon Over the Ajo Range, Arizona von Michael Stack zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.732,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Stack auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Close to Evening in the Gila Valley im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.300,00 (€ 12.966,10).
