Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Stack could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction auction, the work Moonlight at Big Sur changed hands for USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,204.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Stack achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Close to Evening in the Gila Valley in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 15,300.00 (€ 12,966.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Stack konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction wechselte die Arbeit Moonlight at Big Sur für USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.204,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Stack erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Close to Evening in the Gila Valley im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.300,00 (€ 12.966,10).
