Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Honey Do (Dew) by Michael Singletary was auctioned at Bonhams in July this year. The price achieved of USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,323.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Singletary - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Coloured People, which sold at auction in May 2020 for USD 8,825.00 (€ 7,951.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Honey Do (Dew) von Michael Singletary kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.323,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Singletary mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Coloured People beobachtet, die im Mai 2020 für USD 8.825,00 (€ 7.951,88) versteigert wurde.
