The work Cabin Fever by Michael Singletary was sold in the Modern, Contemporary & Latin American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in February 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,287.50 (€ 6,853.14), 66% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michael Singletary; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Coloured People sold at auction in May 2020 with the realized price of USD 8,825.00 (€ 7,951.88).

Die Arbeit Cabin Fever von Michael Singletary wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Modern, Contemporary & Latin American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 6.853,14) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Michael Singletary; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Coloured People im Mai 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 8.825,00 (€ 7.951,88).
