It achieved a price of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,185.03), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Rothenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The White House in May last year with an auction result of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,787.24).

Die Arbeit Red Birds (Sidey 385) von Michael Rothenstein kam im Juni 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.185,03) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Rothenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The White House im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.787,24).
