In the The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship auction, the work Flowers in a landscape sold for GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,743.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Rothenstein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The White House, which sold at auction in May last year for GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,787.24).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Rothenstein erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship wurde die Arbeit Flowers in a landscape für GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.743,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Rothenstein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The White House beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.787,24) versteigert wurde.
