Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crucifixion by Michael Rothenstein was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,561.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Rothenstein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The White House, which sold at auction in May last year for GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,787.24).
