Sold at the lower estimate price
In October 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Ladder Cyclamen II by Michael Mazur. The result of USD 1,000.00 (€ 912.24) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Mazur - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pond Edge IV, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,407.55).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ladder Cyclamen II von Michael Mazur zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 912,24) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Mazur mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pond Edge IV beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.407,55) versteigert wurde.
