Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Mazur could be acquired at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Photographs auction, the work Lake changed hands for USD 318.75 (€ 325.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Mazur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pond Edge IV in March last year with an auction result of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,407.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Mazur konnte im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Lake für USD 318,75 (€ 325,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Mazur erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pond Edge IV im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.407,55).
