Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Mazur could be acquired at Phillips in New York in June 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions auction, the work Amaryllis—Calla I changed hands for USD 1,188.00 (€ 966.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Mazur - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pond Edge IV, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,407.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Mazur konnte im Juni 2010 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Editions wechselte die Arbeit Amaryllis—Calla I für USD 1.188,00 (€ 966,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Mazur mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pond Edge IV beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.407,55) versteigert wurde.
