The work The clipper ship Antiope by Michael James Whitehand was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2008. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 5,895.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00.
