Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Green Dining Room by Michael Eastman was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,849.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Eastman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Isabella's Two Chairs with Laundry, 2000, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 22,100.00 (€ 28,112.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Green Dining Room von Michael Eastman kam im November 2016 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.849,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Eastman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Isabella's Two Chairs with Laundry, 2000 beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 22.100,00 (€ 28.112,17) versteigert wurde.
