Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Michael Canney achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Storm Cove sold for GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,061.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Canney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Offshore Islands in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,184.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Canney erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Storm Cove für GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.061,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Canney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Offshore Islands im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.184,94).
