Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Canney could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Overlap changed hands for GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,090.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Canney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Offshore Islands in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,184.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Canney konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Overlap für GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.090,72) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Canney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Offshore Islands im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.184,94).
