Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2001 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled, from Dirty Windows by Merry Alpern. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,820.00 (€ 3,177.82). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Merry Alpern - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, de la série Dirty Window, 1994, which sold at auction in November 2017 for EUR 11,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2001 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, from Dirty Windows von Merry Alpern zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.820,00 (€ 3.177,82) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Merry Alpern mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, de la série Dirty Window, 1994 beobachtet, die im November 2017 für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert wurde.
