The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,800.00 (€ 43,404.90), 26% above the upper estimate. Other works by Mernet Larsen have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,259.27) in June 2019 for the work Cardplayers.
