The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paris 1963 in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 69,922.14).

Die Arbeit „Dorothea MacGowan, Harper's Bazaar“. von Melvin Sokolsky wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Sommer 2021 - Photographie bei Grisebach versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.375,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Melvin Sokolsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paris 1963 im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 69.922,14).
