Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fly Dior, Paris by Melvin Sokolsky was auctioned at Phillips in Paris Auction in November this year. The price achieved of EUR 3,556.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Melvin Sokolsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paris 1963 in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 69,922.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fly Dior, Paris von Melvin Sokolsky kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Paris Auction zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.556,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Melvin Sokolsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paris 1963 im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 69.922,14).
