Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Simone Bubble, Saint-Germain, Paris, Harper's Bazaar, 1963 by Melvin Sokolsky was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,670.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Melvin Sokolsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paris 1963 in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 69,922.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Simone Bubble, Saint-Germain, Paris, Harper's Bazaar, 1963 von Melvin Sokolsky kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.670,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Melvin Sokolsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paris 1963 im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 69.922,14).
