Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Structure of Democracy by Maxim Kantor for GBP 87,650.00 (€ 111,722.30). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Evening at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 90,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Maxim Kantor have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July this year by the work The Cedar and Man at GBP 139,700.00 (€ 162,987.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Structure of Democracy von Maxim Kantor für GBP 87.650,00 (€ 111.722,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 90.000,00 – 120.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Maxim Kantor wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres die Arbeit The Cedar and Man mit GBP 139.700,00 (€ 162.987,56).
