This artwork by Maxfield Parrish achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2019. In the American Art auction, the work Study for Scribner's Poster sold for USD 225,000.00 (€ 204,192.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maxfield Parrish achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hilltop in November last year with an auction result of USD 6,660,000.00 (€ 6,451,612.90).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maxfield Parrish erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hilltop im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.660.000,00 (€ 6.451.612,90).
