Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Good Fishing by Maxfield Parrish. The price achieved of USD 495,000.00 (€ 437,163.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maxfield Parrish achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hilltop in November last year with an auction result of USD 6,660,000.00 (€ 6,451,612.90).
