The result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 132,473.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maxfield Parrish achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hilltop in November last year with an auction result of USD 6,660,000.00 (€ 6,451,612.90).

Die Arbeit Du Pont Mural von Maxfield Parrish kam im November 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 132.473,73) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maxfield Parrish erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hilltop im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.660.000,00 (€ 6.451.612,90).
