Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Max Weber could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Discoveries auction, the work Seated Woman changed hands for USD 5,670.00 (€ 5,111.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Weber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,925,000.00 (€ 1,728,783.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Max Weber konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Discoveries wechselte die Arbeit Seated Woman für USD 5.670,00 (€ 5.111,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Weber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.925.000,00 (€ 1.728.783,12).
