A top price for Max Weber - as previously expected
The work New York by Max Weber was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 1,925,000.00 (€ 1,728,783.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, New York is the most expensive artwork by Max Weber that we have observed at auctions so far.
