Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Max Weber achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March last year. In the Modern Discoveries auction, the work Cubist Figure Seated sold for USD 30,240.00 (€ 27,260.43) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Weber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,925,000.00 (€ 1,728,783.12).
