Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Max Cole was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in January 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,063.00 (€ 1,213.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Cole achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mirage. 1986. in June this year with an auction result of CHF 24,700.00 (€ 25,279.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Max Cole wurde im Januar 2018 in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.063,00 (€ 1.213,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Cole erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mirage. 1986. im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 24.700,00 (€ 25.279,05).
