(600 x 381 x 229 mm.)
Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July this year Christies held the auction Contemporary Edition, which included the work The 1:6 Scale Wrong Gallery by Maurizio Cattelan. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,512.00 (€ 1,372.05). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurizio Cattelan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Him in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 17,189,000.00 (€ 15,436,910.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies die Auktion Contemporary Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit The 1:6 Scale Wrong Gallery von Maurizio Cattelan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.512,00 (€ 1.372,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurizio Cattelan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Him im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.189.000,00 (€ 15.436.910,64).
