Sold at the lower estimate price
In November 2015 Christies in Paris held the auction Collection Shalom Shpilman vendue au profit du Shpilman Institute for Photography, which included the work Solarisation N° 1, 1932 by Maurice Tabard. The result of EUR 15,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Tabard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Punu Mask, Solarised Film, 1936, which sold at auction in May 2015 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 52,139.80).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Collection Shalom Shpilman vendue au profit du Shpilman Institute for Photography durch, in der auch die Arbeit Solarisation N° 1, 1932 von Maurice Tabard zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 15.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Tabard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Punu Mask, Solarised Film, 1936 beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 52.139,80) versteigert wurde.
