Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Magraitis' 1928 - 30 by Maurice Tabard was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in May 2015. It changed hands for a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,165.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Tabard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Punu Mask, Solarised Film, 1936 in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 52,139.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Magraitis' 1928 - 30 von Maurice Tabard wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.165,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Tabard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Punu Mask, Solarised Film, 1936 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 52.139,80).
