This artwork by Matthijs Naiveu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2015. In the Old Master & British Paintings auction, the work A fruit seller by a canal sold for GBP 19,375.00 (€ 27,100.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthijs Naiveu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elegante Gesellschaft in einem Interieur, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 74,400.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis um 94 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Matthijs Naiveu erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings wurde die Arbeit A fruit seller by a canal für GBP 19.375,00 (€ 27.100,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Matthijs Naiveu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elegante Gesellschaft in einem Interieur beobachtet, die im November 2016 für EUR 74.400,00 versteigert wurde.
