Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,637.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthijs Naiveu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elegante Gesellschaft in einem Interieur, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 74,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Children Playing In A Street Outside A Cobbler'S Shop von Matthijs Naiveu kam im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.637,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Matthijs Naiveu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elegante Gesellschaft in einem Interieur beobachtet, die im November 2016 für EUR 74.400,00 versteigert wurde.
