Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Judah And Tamar by Matthijs Naiveu was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,600.00 (€ 16,617.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Matthijs Naiveu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elegante Gesellschaft in einem Interieur in November 2016 with an auction result of EUR 74,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Judah And Tamar von Matthijs Naiveu kam im Januar 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.600,00 (€ 16.617,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthijs Naiveu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elegante Gesellschaft in einem Interieur im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 74.400,00.
