Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Circe And Odysseus by Matthijs Naiveu was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,123.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthijs Naiveu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elegante Gesellschaft in einem Interieur, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 74,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Circe And Odysseus von Matthijs Naiveu wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.123,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Matthijs Naiveu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elegante Gesellschaft in einem Interieur beobachtet, die im November 2016 für EUR 74.400,00 versteigert wurde.
