Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work O’Dell Lake, Oregon 7 from Lakes and Reservoirs by Matthew Brandt. The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,362.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matthew Brandt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grays Lake Id 6 (From Lakes And Reservoirs) in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 27,720.00 (€ 23,042.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit O’Dell Lake, Oregon 7 from Lakes and Reservoirs von Matthew Brandt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.362,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthew Brandt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grays Lake Id 6 (From Lakes And Reservoirs) im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 23.042,39).
