Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Big Bear, CA A2 by Matthew Brandt. The price achieved of USD 9,525.00 (€ 9,013.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthew Brandt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grays Lake Id 6 (From Lakes And Reservoirs), which sold at auction in April 2021 for USD 27,720.00 (€ 23,042.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Big Bear, CA A2 von Matthew Brandt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.525,00 (€ 9.013,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Matthew Brandt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grays Lake Id 6 (From Lakes And Reservoirs) beobachtet, die im April 2021 für USD 27.720,00 (€ 23.042,39) versteigert wurde.
