In November 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Limited Edition, which included the work Cremaster Field Suite (1-5) - 2002 by Matthew Barney. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,640.00 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Barney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drawing Restraint 8: Condition 2003 in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,205,000.00 (€ 883,431.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Limited Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cremaster Field Suite (1-5) - 2002 von Matthew Barney zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.640,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthew Barney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drawing Restraint 8: Condition 2003 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.205.000,00 (€ 883.431,09).
