In December 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings, which included the work The Abandonment of Moses by Mattheus Ignatius van Bree. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,750.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mattheus Ignatius van Bree achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Elegant Couple Out Hunting With Their Dogs in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 61,000.00 (€ 39,182.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Abandonment of Moses von Mattheus Ignatius van Bree zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.750,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mattheus Ignatius van Bree erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Elegant Couple Out Hunting With Their Dogs im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.000,00 (€ 39.182,94).
