Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work PATTERN PORTRAIT (PILOT) by Matt Sheridan Smith for GBP 688.00 (€ 813.14). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matt Sheridan Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pattern Portrait (Widow) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,834.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit PATTERN PORTRAIT (PILOT) von Matt Sheridan Smith für GBP 688,00 (€ 813,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matt Sheridan Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pattern Portrait (Widow) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.834,88).
