Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Two works: (i) Untitled (Diderot, Lettres Capitales); (ii) Untitled (Diderot, Alphabets des Lettres Bâtardes) by Matt Mullican. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 37,158.15). Other works by Matt Mullican have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 45,600.00 (€ 37,817.22) in September 2005 for the work without title.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: (i) Untitled (Diderot, Lettres Capitales); (ii) Untitled (Diderot, Alphabets des Lettres Bâtardes) von Matt Mullican zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.750,00 (€ 37.158,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Matt Mullican haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.600,00 (€ 37.817,22) im September 2005 für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet.
