Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A gentleman visiting an old lady on a terrace by Matthijs Naiveu was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008. The price achieved of EUR 1,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthijs Naiveu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elegante Gesellschaft in einem Interieur in November 2016 with an auction result of EUR 74,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A gentleman visiting an old lady on a terrace von Matthijs Naiveu wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthijs Naiveu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elegante Gesellschaft in einem Interieur im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 74.400,00.
