It achieved a price of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,165.79), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Masami Teraoka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cloisters Venus and Pope's Workout in November 2009 with an auction result of HKD 4,820,000.00 (€ 414,685.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Today's Special, from 31 Flavors Invading Japan von Masami Teraoka kam im Juli 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.165,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Masami Teraoka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Cloisters Venus and Pope's Workout im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.820.000,00 (€ 414.685,87).
