Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Molokai Lookout Point/Writhing Giant Octopus Waves, 2007 by Masami Teraoka was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. It achieved a price of USD 9,562.50 (€ 9,075.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Masami Teraoka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cloisters Venus and Pope's Workout in November 2009 with an auction result of HKD 4,820,000.00 (€ 414,685.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Molokai Lookout Point/Writhing Giant Octopus Waves, 2007 von Masami Teraoka wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.562,50 (€ 9.075,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Masami Teraoka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Cloisters Venus and Pope's Workout im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.820.000,00 (€ 414.685,87).
