Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Perspex Group on Blue (E) by Mary Martin was sold in the Modern British Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,259.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Mary Martin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2018 the work Rotation 3 was auctioned for GBP 81,250.00 (€ 91,647.53).
