Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reflection by Marwan was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 76,341.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marwan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kopf., which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 262,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reflection von Marwan kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 76.341,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marwan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kopf. beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 262.500,00 versteigert wurde.
