Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work Head by Marwan. The price achieved of USD 37,800.00 (€ 35,479.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marwan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kopf. in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 262,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head von Marwan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 35.479,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marwan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kopf. im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 262.500,00.
