This artwork by Marwan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November this year. In the Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection auction, the work Kopf links gedreht (Head turned left) sold for GBP 56,700.00 (€ 65,702.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marwan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kopf., which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 262,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marwan erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection wurde die Arbeit Kopf links gedreht (Head turned left) für GBP 56.700,00 (€ 65.702,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marwan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kopf. beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 262.500,00 versteigert wurde.
